Seedbom - Butterflybom
Assembled in Scotland using a starch-based biodegradable and compostable shell, organic peat-free compost, non-GMO native wildflower / herb seeds and FSC 100% recycled and recyclable glue-free paperboard packaging.
Butterflybom contains a nectar-rich wildflower seed mix loved by butterflies as well as other pollinating insects.
Seed mix*: Musk Mallow, Cornflower, Yarrow, Oxeye Daisy, Red Campion & Forget-me-not.
*(Contains species recommended by butterfly conservation as ‘larval food plants’ and includes some annuals for 1st year impact)
How to use: Pull the pin and throw or drop Seedboms into areas that are in need of brightening up; the casing will biodegrade into the environment, leaving only plants behind. Seedboms like bare soil, natural light and to be kept damp whilst growing.
Seedboms can also be grown in planters, pots or window boxes.
Seedboms are designed to create little wildflower patches as opposed to a larger spread/meadow type of growing. Typically they can take up an area of around 30 cm sq (medium/large pot if potting). Height-wise, some plants can grow up to 2 feet +.
Full instructions are included on inside of each Seedbom sleeve.
Quantity: Each Seedbom contains 1 gram of seeds. Quantities vary depending on seed size (i.e. larger seeds = approx. 10 seeds per gram; mixes = approx. 100 seeds per gram; tiny seeds = approx. 10,000 seeds per gram).
Size: 220 × 220 × 90 mm
